AVELLINGTON. June 10. It is reported that J. T. Lovell, a relief worker and amateur yachtsman, who lived on Hutt River on his yaen ■ “Tasman J..” and who has not been seen or heard of since, left Port Underwood on April 21. He was seen m Toiw Channel, shortly after Easiei. battling against a north-west wiml. and it was presumed at that tune ne was heading for Wellington. The caretaker of the Wellington boat harbour said to-day that L'.'V'-' 11 had left' Wellington on Good Irida ? for Port Underwood, but his uitonna-tio-n was that Lovell 'had not put m there. . _ , However, a message received from Blenheim., this afternoon, states tha Lovell visited Port Underwood ut Easter, ami left there on April 21.
