At the wool sales 9929 bales were offered, including 6457 New Zealand, and 7529 were sold. There was a fairly good selection, mainly New Zealand crossbreds. There was keen competition. Australian greasies were firmlv held, and consequently there were large withdrawals. Prices generally were steady at the opening decline. New Zealand scoured merinos, Lake Meron, top price 26-ld .average 24}d. Greasy crossbred. Morland, top price 11:16, average 10 I-Sd.
