TO-MORROW’S DOUBLE FEATURES. The present, programme al Hie Regent Theatre will lie screened to-day for last time. The. programme for Wednesday includes “Chasing Yesterday” and “Stormy Weather,” as the second feature. Emptiness of human life without love is dramatically revealed in “Chasing Yesterday,” the new R.K.O. picture starring Anne Shirley the heroine of “Anne of Green Gables.” From a story by Anatole France, the film' tells of a voung girl who brings lovo into the life of an °lderly French savant and his sharp-tongued housekeeper, O. P. TTegg e and Helen Westley, who appeared in “Green Gables.’’ portray the elderly couple. The picture which is one full of piquant situations, intriguing scenes and sinister plots, holds the interest from tho moment it opens in a Chinese den until it ends with a. scene in which charming Yvonne Arnaud is peering over thebaluster of her home watching an aspiring lover in the person of Ralph Lvnn being kicked down the stairs bv her husband. “CALL OF THE WILD.” SATURDAY. A picture that will rate the raves of every movie fan in town—-and collect a lot of them at the Regent. Theatre—is Darryl Zanuck’s filmiz.-ation of “Call of the Wild.’’ the immortal •Tack London classic of the Yukon gold rush, showing Saturday. TO-MORROW AFTERNOON. At 2.30 p.m. to-morrow a novel entertainment, a coin afternoon (in aid of the repair fund of St. Patrick’s Church), will be held at St. Columba Hall, when, in addition to a bright musical programme there will be community singing, and afternoon tea will be provided. Everybody is invited.
