/■llnr m«rn X Mr. Tom Hooker, of the Railway Department, Christchurch, is at present on holiday here as the guest of his sister, Mrs. M. L. O’Malley. Aliss L McAlahon returned on Saturday evening after a holiday visit to Christchurch and the south. Air. T.en McMahon, who for some time past has been engaged in work at Lewis Pass, has secured a position on the stall of the Public AVorks Department at Weheka. Miss C. O’Malley of AVellingtnn. who lias been spending her holidays with hei parents has left on return. On Wednesday last Airs. Gallagher was met by the ladies of Cronadun and made the recipient of a handsome dressing gown before her departure toi Auckland. Mrs. O'Regan, in making the presentation, expressed regret at Airs. Gallagher’s departure, and wished her all happiness in her new home. After a daintv afternoon tea the suiting of “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” brought the function to a close. In brilliant sunshine, the Ikamatua Rugby team was defeated at Cronadun on Sunday bv 22 points to 3. For Cronadun'O’Regan (2), Hooker, Brydon Brazil and Liudbom scored tries, while J. O’Malley potted a splendid field o-oal. B. O’Mallev scored Ikamatua’s° only try. Mr. P. McCormack was referee.
