(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 3. The weather report and forecast are as follows:— General situation; A,n anti-cyclone of only moderate intensity is now advancing across ihe North Tasman Sea on to New Zealand, where there has been a sharp rise of pressure. The barometers arc. however) falling again over Enslern Australia. Forecast: Winds modernt e to fresh, and south-westerly, veering to west and north-west, and becoming strong again, especially about and south of Cook Strait.
.Seas in New Zealand wa.te.rs rough on th e east coast, with a heavy southerly swell,, but moderating. Modenate to rather rough and increasing sens on the west coast. I'astei-n Tasman Sea.: Moderate to strong west to norih-west winds. Seas rough in the southern portion; elsewhere moderate -i'o rather rough. Weather still changeable, with seat>tered showery in pkices. but mainly line at present, and temperatures are rising. Later, unsettled conditions, with some rain, arc developing in tho districts Witlf a westerly aspect.
