SYDNEY, May 1. A record speed of eighty-five miles an hour for the New South Wales railways was attained by the Newcastle “Flier” during a recent run from Sydney to Newcastle. It covered 104'miles in 2 hours 10 minutes, af an average speed of 48 miles an hour, SYDNEY, Alay 1.
