CAR KILLS BOY
OPEN VERDICT AT INQUEST
(Per Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE April 23
The inquest was concluded today concerning -Hie death of Claude William Burlace, of Papatawa, who wakilled in a collision with a motor cai near Daunevirke, while cycling home from school on April 7.
The evidence of two companion: showed that deceased aaxis carrying his schoolbag strapped to the liandbbar of his bicycle Avhen the bmyeb “werved into the middle of Ihe rom: in front of the second of two car' coming in the opposite direct ion, ami collided with the ear driven o.v ■! W. R., SherraH', of Master'ton. H was killed instantly. Sherrntt’s evidence avus to the <mm< effect . He said lie had no opportun t. of avoiding deceased.
