SOCCER COMPETITION Victoria Park presented a busy appearance on Thursday afternoon, when the opening games of the Soccer tournament of the Inter-House Competition was played. Seven matches were played simultaneously land over 90' per cent of the boys took part. In the “A” grade, St Columba’s fast forward lino proved too good for St. Paul’s and they ran out victors' 'by 3 goals to 1. After an even game St. Patrick’s drew with St. Joseph’s 1 all. “B” Grade:—St. Joseph’s 3, v. St. Patrick’s 2. St. Columba’s 3 v. St. Paul’s 1. “C” Grade: —St. Paul’s 6 v. St. Columba's 0. St. Joseph’s 1 v. St. Patrick’s 0. Next Wednesday the Leafcue Division will open and in this competition some even contests are expected.
