REEFTON NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, February 11. Mr John MeElwee, junr., has left for Christchurch, where he will attend a sitting of the Methodist Synod. Mr W. Brett, of the Bank of New Zealand staff, leaves on holiday tomorrow morning, previous to his transference to another branch. He will be succeeded by Mr Harris, of Christchurch. Mr A. ißolitho, of the National Bank, who has been on his annual holiday, returned last evening. The following will represent the Reefton Cricket Club in their match with the Hokitika Club, to be played on the Racecourse, to-morrow (Wednesday), commencing at 11 o’clock: W. Blom, D. Bateman. O. Collins, HKearns, P. Campbell, J. Slattery, R. Irvino, H, Patterson, S. Hunt, H. Foreman, C. MeElwee, W. Cutbush, T. Malcolm. The Reefton Swimming Club s carnival announced for Thursday night, has been deferred until Tuesday next, owing to the Westport Swimming C’lub carnival being fixed for that date. It I:- then hoped that the weather will be favourable enough to have this ott postponed fixture finalised.
