WEDDING

STEVENS—STENT. A very pretty wedding was solemn ised at St. John’s Presbyterian Church. Greymouth, last evening, the contract i'ng parties being Agnes Bertha, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Stent, 01 Elaketown and Victor Densham, youngest son of Mr and 'Mrs Stevens, I'erngrove, Riverton. Rev. H. R. Fell performed the ceremony, while Mrs Bruerton was at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father looked charming in a model frock of white cliarmeuse, cut with a slim-fitting bodice, and falling in graceful folds to the ankles. Her beautiful veil of hand-embroidered tulle, was held in place with a dainty coronet of orange blossom, her bouquet being in dainty shades of pink and white gladioli, with Lily of the Valley and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Mabel Stent, of Palmerston Otago, who wore a frock of Marina blue suede crepe, cut on classical lines, with shoes to tone, while she also wore a coronet of lemon flowers, and carried a bouquet of lemon and blue flowers to tone. The bride’s younger sister, Pearl, ,aii-ende.l as flower girl, looking dainty in a frock of pink Swiss muslin, with head band to tone. Mr H. Haigh, of (Reefton, acted as best man. A reception was afterwards held at Harker’s tea rooms. The guests were received by the bride’s mother, assisted by Mrs Stent, junr., the former wearing a brown frock of crepe alma, relieved with shell p'nk and with hat and shoes to tone, and carrying a bouquet of red roses and autumn tinted leaves. The happy couple were the recipients of many beautiful and valuable gifts. The bride and bridegroom left later by ear the bride wearing a smart brown tailored costume with hat and shoes to match.
