COMPETITION AGAINST WOOL. t (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.> LONDON. September 10. Following lhe removal of the excise duty from staple fibre, by Britain, the largest rayon producers have added a cut in price of three-halfpence per lb. making their price lid, instead of per lb. SYDNEY, September 10. At to-day’s wool sales, 12,654 bales were offered and 11,267 were sold, and 955 privately. Competition was keen, especially from the Japanese section, supported satisfactorily by the Continent. Values generally were unchanged. Greasy Merino 20d.
