The bowlers wives and lady friends dispensed afternoon, tea, which was enjoyed by all; during the afternou a rinks tournament was played. In regard to finances, we are very pleased to report that the club has ended the season with a credit balance of £l4/17/11, also a balance of assets over liabilities of £519, which we must accept as very satisfactory. The Buller Centre held its annual tournament on the Westport and Sergeant’s Hill greens, 10 rinks from your club competing, and 2 rinks reached the semifinals.
