The death took place suddenly at Christchurch yesterday of James Malcolm Gray, husband of Elizabeth Gray, of Cireymouth, aged 52 years. Deceased, a native of Dunedin, was in the loco branch of the Railways Department. Greyniouth, and wa 3 in Christchurch on holiday. He had been a railway employee for the past 33 years. He is survived by his wife and three young children. The body was brought to Greymouth by last night’s train from Christchurch, for interment.

The many friends of Miss Nora O’Donnell. he well-known school teacher, formerly in charge of the Ruru and Blackwater schools, and now of the staff of Beckenham school. Christchurch, will regret to learn of the death of her father, which took place yesterday at Christchurch. The late Mr O’Donnell leaves a widow and three daughters one of whom is Mrs Gee of Tauranga, and another is a member of the Order of the Sisters of the Mission in India; while there nrp also two sons, John and Matthew, of Christchurch.

At the wedding at St. Patrick s Church, Greymouth, of Elizabeth Ann Marie, only ’daughter .of Mr and Mrs Brady, Nine Mile, to Hector John, only son of Mr and Mrs J. Doyle, Rapahoe, the bride wore a trained gown of white silk velvet, made with a draped bodice and cowl sleeves which were tight, fitting from the elbows and trimmed with small crystal buttons. Iler tulle veil fell from a silver coronet, and she carried a bouquet. of freesias,. lilies, sweet peas, and maidenhair fern. Miss Movra Murphy, Runanga. attended the bride, atftirod in a frock of green velvet made on slimming lines with a shoulder cape lined with gold satin, and trimmed with flat gold buttons. She carried a shower bouquet of autumn tinted abutilons. Wee Jean Russell and Terrance Longley were flower girl nnd pnge bov respectively, attired in an nnkle length frock of pale pink slatfln with tiny rosebud trimmings, pale pink satin'and green silk velvet knickers forming the. page boy’s suit. Mr W. Page, Runanga. was best man. A reception was held a't Herb Moore s Cabaret. The bride's mother received the guests. The bride and bridegroom later let’ll for Christrhureh. the bride travelling in a velvet Russian costume, facecloth coat, and small hat.
