(Per Press Association.; NAPIER, August 10. In the Supreme Court prisoners were sentenced as follows:— Archibald Robert 55 years, of age, a farmer of Tutira, on a charge of sheep stealing, six months’ reformative detention. Victor Frank Janies Mogee i 51 years, a farmer of on charges of sheep-stealing, two years’ imprisonment. James Bernard Green, 33 years, a farmer, of Wairoa four charges of sheep-steaH ing, twelve months’ reformative detention. Joseph Kavanagh, 28 years,, a labourer, obscene exposure, twelve mon'ths’ imprisonment. George IRienadd Davis, 18 years, breaking and ent’ering. three years in the Borstal Institution. WELLINGTON, August 11. Eric Malcolm Bell, of 4, Ferguson Street, Wellington,, died in the hospital last night as the result of injuries he received when <a fruit lorry in which he was travelling was struck and wrecked in Kent Terrace, shortly after 6 p.m. the same night. It appears that a Hindu fruit lorry had broken down, and Bell had stopped to assist the Hindu to start it. He had succeeded, and with Bell in the lorry, they were following a tram along Kent Terrace. When crossing to Cambridge Terrace the lorry was struck by a north bound tram, and wrecked. The Hindu received very severe injuries.
