The South Africans to-day began a match against Gloucester, who made 279, the visitors in their first innings losing 4 for 144. The inclusion in their team to-day of Balaskas and Siedle is an indication that the South Africans are recovering from their injuries in readiness for the final test match, which begins on August 17. Sin field made 102 for Gloucester. He fave a faultless display which lasted three hours. With Neale he added 102 runs in seventy minutes. Scores:— GLOUCESTER—First Innings.
