SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS
HERMITAGE RESULTS. (Per Press Association). TIMARU. August 2. The Grand National Ski Meeting is being held at the Hermitage, Mount Cook, in perfect weather. Soft snow has made the course difficult. Results are:— Men’s downhill championship: Bernard Saville (Windwhistle Club) 1; J. Ritchie (Windwhistle Club) 2; J. Crombie (Tasman Club) 3. Women’s downhill championship: Miss J. Johnston (Tasman) 1; Miss N. Orbell (Tasman) 2; Miss D. Wilkins (Christchurch Ski Club) 3. Men’s slalom championship: B. Saville 1, J. Crombie 2, J. Ritchie 3. Women’s slalom championship; Miss Wilkins 1, Miss N. Orbell 2, Miss JJohnston 5. Championships points: Saville, 10. Crombie 5, Ritchie 5. Women’s championship points: Miss Johnston 7. Miss Wilkins 7, Miss Drbell 6. Club championship points: Tasman 18. Windwhistle 15. Christchurch 7.
