LINER RANGITANE

GENERATOR DAMAGED. I (Per Press Association). 1 AUCKLAND, July 31. 1 The motor liner Rangitane, which, has arrived at Auckland from London, will be delayed in New Zealand this trip for four weeks, to enab’c repairs to be carried out in the engine room. The armature of one of the vessel’s 550 k.w. electric generators has been damaged, and it will be reunited at Wellington befor e her homeward loading is commenced. The Rangitane will ’eave Auckland next Wednesday for Wellington to complete her discharge. A spare part for the damaged generator is on board the motor vessel Wairangi. which is due at Wellington on August 12th.
