NOTES. The Harbour Board last evening reported that the depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 23ft 7m. The Gael sailed early yesterday morning for Hokitika. The Huanui sailed yesterday afternoon with coal for Foxton. The Alexander sailed yesterday afternoon with coal for Nelson, via Westport. She is due back here on Thursday, to load coal for Dargaville. The Poolta is to sail 'to-night for Auckland. The Karepo is due to-night from Lyttelton, via Westport|. to complete loading for Melbourne and Adelaide. The Kartigi is due to-morrow from Auckland, via Portland, to load for WeUington. The Waipahi is due fo-morrow from New Plymouth, to load for Auckland and Portland.

The Titoki returns from New Plymouth. via Westport', on Friady, to load coal for Tarakohe, via Westport. The Kai-toa is due on Thursday from Nelson and Wellington to load timber for Miramar, Wellington and Petone. The James Cook is due on Saturday from Wanganui, with a quantity of dredging machinery and hardwood. After discharge, she will load timbe r for Australian ports. The Kanna is due on Monday from W?stpont to complete loading for W<* ington, Gisborne, Napier, and New P’vmouth. The Abel Tasman is duo on August 9 from Dunedin to load timber for Australia.
