FRENCH DEFENCES
STRENGTHENED ON FRONTIER. PARIS, July 28. President Le Brun has issued a decree. that additional protection for Alsace-Lorraine is being provided by seven infantry regiments, of which two are existing units regrouped. Seven fortress and right tank battailous, two regiments of artillery and one enginners’ division of cavalry will be motorised.
