Over thirtv members of the Pirate League Foothad Club assembled last evening to make a presentation to Mr. J. R. Anderson, in view of his marriage. which takes place to-morrow. Mr. Anderson, who has been secretary of the Club since its inception, and president for the present season, was the recipient of a dinner service, and numerous speakers wished him and the future Mrs. Anderson evorv success and happiness in their married life. Happv reminiscences of past seasons and hopes for future successes were expressed by the various speakers, who included members of the West Coast League Centre and members of the Club, and with games and items, a pleasant evening was spent. Musical Hems were given by Messrs. Hunt. Stokes. Harrington. Kyle, Solomon. O’Connor. Cameron and Dowling. Messrs. B. Walker and G. Geddes being the accompanists. Supper was served bv the ladies’ committee, under the supervision of Mrs. A. Kyle.
