(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND. May 27. An amazing spectacle of a wrestler being disqualified in the second round and hi a opponent being declared the winner, ami then the contest re-start-ed under the control of another ref eree, was witnessed at the Town Hall to-night. The contestants were Al Pereirfa Ifi. I, and Cy. Williams 16.5. The match started under the charge of C. Pollard, who cautioned Williams more than once in the opening round for such illegalities as use of hi a knee, hair pulling and punching. Tn the second round Williams felled Ids opponent several thnes with rab- ’ t punches in spite of the warning. Pollard. in‘iervened, and awarded a penalty fall to Pereira. This decision greatly incensed Williams, who rushed with clenched fists at his opponent and the pair com■•'need to fight in mid-ring. After much difficulty, the referee who was severely jostled in the meantime, sue eeedod in parting the men for sufficient time to raise Pereira’s hand as winner, Williams being disqualified.

Pollard and Williams left the ring. Pereira remained in his corner and waved his hand as an indication that he desired his opponent’s presence : e the ring once more. The officials, ig noring Pollard’s decision, prr’suaded Williams to return to the ring, and another referee was obtained.

The bon* started again, and Williams was awarded a fall for a press easily gained after he had felled Pereira a. few tunes with rabbit nunches the action which had earned h’m dis qualification under Pollard’s jurisdiction.

Pereira obtained a reverse log bar which won him a submission La’l The second contest endnd ir, the next munfl with a fall 4 o Williams, who was declared the w'nner. Thus con-duded a rough bout in which victory went to a man who had actually been declared loser.
