(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON. May 24. The weather report and forecast are as follows;— General situation: An anti-cyclone now extends across Tasman Sea on to New Zealand.. Forecast: Winds southerly, still strong at places about Cook Strait, and on the east eoast of the North Island, but decreasing; elsewhere, moderate. Seas in New Zealand waters rather rough north of Farewell Spit a nd Kaikowra; elsewhere. moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate sou'll winds, and moderate s eas. Weather: A few isolated showers on the < ast coast, but soon improving, and the weather otherwise fair to fine. Temperatures cold, with many inland frosts.
