CROQUET
MAKURA LADIES’ CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Malt ura Ladies’ Croquet Club Jthe VicePresident, Mrs D. McKay, presided, owing to the indisposition of the President. Mr* J). Tennent. There wus a good attendance of fnembers. The annual report and balancesheet were read and adopted. The following trophies won dining the year were presented:— Senior Championship Singles, Mrs Whibley; runner-up, Mrs Davies; Senior Championship Doubles: Mesdames Whibley ami Warnes; Senior Handicap Doubles, Mesdames Whibley and Robertson; Senior Yankee Tournament, Mrs J. Robertson; Junior Championship Singles, Mrs R. Smith; runner-up. Mrs E. Moss; Junior Handicap Doubles, Mc.Klames Fogarty and E. Moss; Junior Yankee Tournament, Mrs E. Moss. I The following officers were elected:—President, Mrs D. Tennent (reelected); Vice-President Mrs D. Me Kay (re-elected); Secretary, Mrs E. Warnes (re-elected); Treasurer. Mrs Mercer. Committee, Mesdames A. Smith, Whibley, Moss and Herring; Social Committee Mesdames R. Smith, E. Moss’, H. Herring and J. Owen. A vote of thanks was recorded the chair and the out-going committee.
