(Per Press Associa-tion). WELLINGTON, May 15. The weather report and forecast arc as follows:— • General situation: An intense anticyclone is still centred near the Chatham Islands, while a depression is located west of Cook Strait, and is moving south south-east. Forecast: Winds moderate to strong, north-east to north, and reaching gale force in places. Seas in Naw Zealand waters rough north of East Cape and south of Kawhia; elsewhere moderate. 'Eastern Tasman Sea; Moderate to strong westerlies in the southern portion: seas rather rough to rough. Weather fair at first in the eastern districts; elsewhere cloudy to overcast. Rain is developing, and is gradually becoming general. Temperatures mild.
