The Harbour Board last evening reported that the depth on the bar at high water yesterday wa s 20ft 6in. The Rata sailed last night .with coal for Onakaka and Tarakolie. She is to return to-morrow to load coal for Wanganui, via Westport. The Kiwitea is to sail this morning tor Auckland and Napier. The Karepo is to sail this morning with timber for Melbourne. The Poolta. left: Wellington yesterday with cargo for Greymouth. She is due to-morrow and will load for Wellington. The Gael is due to-day with cargo fiom Wellington. After discharge, she will proceed to Hokitika. The Kartigi loaves Wellington today with cargo for Greymouth, via I New Plymouth. £hc is due on Monday to load for Wellintgon, New Plymouth and Auckland. The Omana leaves Dunedin tomorrow with Grevmouth cargo, via Bluff. She also ha s Greymouth cargo from Sydney and Newcastle. She 'will load for Melbourne. The Titoki is due on Sunday from Nelson Io load for Gisborne, via Westport. WINTER EXCURSION TO RAROTONGA. The “Makura” will be leaving Wellington on Tuesday, June 11th, arriving in Rarotonga early on Saturday, 15th June (Western time), while the “Maunganui” will leave Rarotoaga on Tuesday, 18th June (Western time), arriving in Wellington on Monday, 24th June. The visitor will thus have about three days in which to explore the many beauties in which the island abounds. Rarotonga is the -traditional starting place of the Maori migration to New Zealand, and the natives are equally as interesting and charming as their Maori brothers.
