IN TURKEY 500 Killed and 1200 Injured (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) ISTANBUL, May 4. Five earthquakes in the Kara and Ti’ebizond districts resulted in 500 being killed and 1200 seriously injured. Fifteen villages and hundreds of cattle were destroyed A water shortage is being experienced A serious eruption of the old volcano, Mount Ararat, is feared.
