(Per P'-ess Association). WELLINGTON, May 2. The went’'t report and forecast are as follows:— General situation; The depression mentioned yesterday has just crossed the Dominion, and is very deep. An anti-cyclone is advancing across Tasman Sea: Forecast: Winds are becoming southerly generally and of gale force in many places. Seas in New Zelaand waters high south of Castlepoint; elsewhere rough. Eastern Tasman Sea: Southerly gales and rough to high seas, but gradually moderating The weather is becoming fine in the western districts of the South Island,, but will otherwise be cold, changeable and squally, with passing heavy showerse, and hail in places.
