AIR RACE WINNER

MARRIAGE TO ACTRESS. (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received March 31 at 7 p.m.) LONDON. March 30. The aviator Campbe l Black, and the theatrical. Miss Desmond, were married to-day. During their reception at the Grosvenor Hotel, Sir Macpherson Robertson toasted the couple's happiness in the gold cup which was the prize in the Melbourne air race. Mr. Black, in thanking Sir M. Robertson, said that it was the Air Race that had brought him and Miss Desmond together, and had enabled him to “hitch his comet to a star.”

The bride appears in Mr. Cochran’s review to-night, after which she will attend a supper and dance. Mr. Scott, who is at present in the north, is expected to attend. The couple will fly to Morocco for their honeymoon in the morning.
