THE WEATHER
(.Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 21. The weather report and forecast are as follows: — General situation: An anti-cyclone of slight intensity covers New Zealand, but pressure is still low to the east, and is beginning to fall in the south. A rather deep depression is located over Tasmania. Forecast: Winds light to moderate, with south-' easterlies prevailing north of New Plymouth and Napier; elsewhere winds tending northerly or in the south to north-east. Seas (N.Z. waters) rather rough at first on parts of the east coast of the North Island, and becoming rough, .about Puysegur Point; elsewhere' smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate and variable winds tending northerly and freshening in central, and southern portions, with seas smooth to
moderate. Weather: Some scattered showers are still probable at times in the north-eastern and the northern portions of the North Island, and later also in the extreme south and west, but with (he weather mainly fine and rather warmer.
