AWARDS MADE By University Senate (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Alarch 21. At a meeting of the Results Committee of the Senate of the University of New Zealand, held to-day, the following senior scholarships were awarded:—

Lewis (Victoria) (an additional scholarship); history, S. G. Andrews (Victoria); economics, C. Af. P. Brown (Victoria); philosophy, A. IT. Katz (Victoria); education, R. S. Duff (Canterbury); pure mathematics, G. C. Israel (Otago); applied mathematics, J. AL Austin (Otago); physics, L E. Coop (Canterbury); chemistry, I. E. Coop (Canterbury); emolument to be awarded in physic, R. A. W. Green (Auckland) and R. S. Jones (Auckland (chemistry emolument to be divided); botany. G. T. S. Baylis (Auckland); geology, Al. Gage (Auckland); contract and torts, C. P. Richmond (Auckland); Roman law. A. IT. Winter (Auckland); engineering, A. G. Bogle (Canterbury); architecture, C. C. G. Webb (Auckland); agriculture, W. M. Hamilton (Massey); post graduate science scholarship. D. A. Peak (Auckland); post graduate art scholarship, D. W. McElwain (Victoria) and J. P. Belshaw (Auckland); Carnegie Fellowships, W. W. Bridgman (Otago), and Davis K. Potter (Auckland). The emolument of one of the unawarded scholarships was awarded to IT. Silverstone (Otago) (for pure and applied mathematics. For the 1851 exhibition science research scholarship, J. W. Mitchell (Canterbury) has been nominated to the awarding body.
