Duff (Canterbury); pure mathematics, G. C. Israel (Otago); applied mathematics, J. AL Austin (Otago); physics, L E. Coop (Canterbury); chemistry, I. E. Coop (Canterbury); emolument to be awarded in physic, R. A. W. Green (Auckland) and R. S. Jones (Auckland (chemistry emolument to be divided); botany. G. T. S. Baylis (Auckland); geology, Al. Gage (Auckland); contract and torts, C. P. Richmond (Auckland); Roman law. A. IT. Winter (Auckland); engineering, A. G. Bogle (Canterbury); architecture, C. C. G. Webb (Auckland); agriculture, W. M. Hamilton (Massey); post graduate science scholarship. D. A. Peak (Auckland); post graduate art scholarship, D. W. McElwain (Victoria) and J. P. Belshaw (Auckland); Carnegie Fellowships, W. W. Bridgman (Otago), and Davis K. Potter (Auckland). The emolument of one of the unawarded scholarships was awarded to IT. Silverstone (Otago) (for pure and applied mathematics. For the 1851 exhibition science research scholarship, J. W. Mitchell (Canterbury) has been nominated to the awarding body.
