PRINTING DISPUTE
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 21. An unofficial conference was held this morning between representatives of the employers and the printers’ union. No decision was reached, but the workers’ delegates are reporting to a meeting of the Union at 3 o’do.-k and it is anticipated the conference will be resumed at a later hour. Workers’ Decision EXPECTED TO-DAY. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON March 21. Regarding the printers’ dispute, a further conference was held in the afternoon at which various proposals for a settlement were discussed. After a full and frank review, from both sides, the Union representatives withdrew., and it is expected that a crucial decision will bo made to-mor-row afternoon.
SOUTHLAND UNION. RESOLUTIONS PASSED. INVERCARGILL, March 21. A fully attended meeting of the S ’utliland Branch of the Typographical Union was held to-dav to discus* ♦he printing trade dispute. Various resolutions were passed regarding the present situation, but no information regarding the nature of the resolutions was made available for publication.
