NOT THEIR FAULT. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 18. The third convention of the New Zealand Society of Accountants was opened to-night. The President, Mr H. Valentine, of Wellington, presided. The Deputy Mayor, Mr A. J, SmqS can, officially opened the proceeding/* In replying to the welcome, Mr Valentine said that the economic and financial conditions at present were not happy ones, but the accountants were not responsible for that. If th* advice of the accountants had been followed throughout, the depression would not have been so acute.
