VICTORIAN ELECTION

141 NOMINATED. (Ans. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) MELBOURNE, February 14. There have been 141 nominations, including one woman candidate, received for the Victorian State General Election on March 21st. Twelve of the 65 Legislative Assembly seats will be uncontested. The members returned without 'opposition include the Premier, Sir S. Argyle; the Minister of Lands, Mr Deanstan; and the leader of the Country Party, Mr Bourchior.

The Parties represented by the candidates are: U.A.P., forty-three; Labour, 39; Country Party, thirty-two; others, 37.
