There are now diptheria epidemics raging in different areas throughout Britain', particularly in the northern towns. They are attributed largely to prevalent damp and unseasonable weather. The iprQsent temperatures are nearly fifteen degrees above the normal winter level. London has had no frost for over a month, which is unprecedented in midwinter.
