REPRIEVE sought. LONDON, October 23. Rt. Hon. Sir J. Gilmour is faced uith a difficult problem arising out of a death sentence on a nineteen-year old youth for the murder of a cinema. manager. Only last year an Act ■was passed forbidding the execution of anyone under eighteen. In the present case the jury stronglv recommended mercy on the ground that the youth s father was killed in the war, and that he Insf his mother when c oven, and was brought up in an inst itution.
