RUNANGA NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent). A very’ enjoyable smoke concert anj reunion was hold by the Runanga Branch of the B.S.A. in the Druids’ flail on Friday night last. After the routine business had been ’disposed of, enjoyment was the order of the evening,, and it was generally accorded to be one, of the most enjoyable nights spent yet with song, story, dancing and the music provided by Mr Kendrick, the Branch’s musici'an. There was not a dull •moment. Two new members joined up and word was received from three other px-*o]diers that they would be joining at th'e next monthly meeting. A letter ’Of condolence was sent to a member in hospital. The members were gratified to learn that there is 'every probability of having the badges before Christinas, as they are a convenient mode of introduction to other Branches when away on holiday. The members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the memory of .the late Mr Stewart, who died at sen. and was well-known to many of the’ members.
