CRICKET

BRADMAN'S CONDITION. LONDON, October 5. Sir Douglas Shields stated to-day that D. G. Bradman is not fit to see anyone. He is definitely not out or the wood. All the stitches have not yet been removed and he is still very weak and needs care. He will be unable to leave his bed for several weeks, and after that he must go to a convalescent home. It is unlikely that Bradman will leave for Australia before the middle of November. Acting on his doctor’s orders, C. F. Walters will not accompany the Marylebone Cricket Club team to the West Indies. He is still suffering from a strained thigh muscle.
