N.Z. LEAGUE Council Decisions (Per Press Association.) TIMARU, October. 7. At a meeting of the National Coun cil of the Xew Zealand Branch of tie. British Drama League held at Timarn yesterday. highly complimentary re. ference was made to the success of

the National final, which resulted in :i substantial profit to headquarters.

The National Executive was (fleeted as follows:—Miss A. Kane, Chairman; Misses E. Blake and E. Wemyss, joint Secretaries; Misses Ailsa Newton and Betty Page, Librarians: Mr. S. Natusch, Hon. Treasurer; Airs. E. Maslen. Messis. W. M. Page. 11. Farquhar. 'l’he National Headquarters are to be at Wellington. It was decided to provide a national scroll of honour at Headquarters on which to inscribe the names of the winners of each national final. The acceptance of cups for the national finals was strongly opposed. A suggestion that a North Island and South Island final be held in preference to a national tinal. was rejected. An invitation from Hawke’s Bay to hold the next national final was re mitted to the Executive. A suggestion that 1(1 per cent, of the profits of the area and national finals should, be paid into a Travelling Equalisation Fund was approved. It was decided to invite the areas to preserve and spread community drama by omitting the names of the players from the festival programmes.
