ROOSEVELT’S PROPOSAL. ACCEPTED BY TEXTILE WORKERS. (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) WASHINGTON, October 4. The United Textile Workers, repre senting four hundred thousand employees. have formally accepted the proposal outlined in President Roosevelt’s speech, cabled on September 30, by agreeing to a six months’ period during which there shall he no strikes. This constitutes the first large group accepting the President’s suggestion.
