Brown left yesterday on a visit to Wellington. Mr C. Gunn returned last evening from a visit to Auckland. Mr and Mrs P. Hamer, Totara Flat, returned yesterday from a visit to Wellington. Mr I. Patterson, of Reefton, returned last evening from a visit to Christchurch. Mr J. S. Robert son returned last evening from a holiday visit to the North Island. A Press Association message announces the re-appointment of Sir William Hall-Jones to the Legislative Council. Passengers by yesterday’s express to Christchurch included Mesdames H. Jackson, W. Clarke, and Miss C. Porter, Mrs C. Jameson (to Timaru), Mr. H. W. De Castro (to Wellington). A vote of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr John Jones, an old employee of the Council, was passed at last evening’s meeting of the Greymouth Borough Council.
