(Our Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, October 2. Mrs Maindonald, who has been on a brief v'sit to Reef ton, where she was the guest of Mrs C. Potter, left on return to Christchurch by this morning ’s express Mr 1. Patterson left on a business visit to Christchurch by this morning’s train. The weather to.ik a pronounced change last nighl*., turning very cold and cheerless, and there was a. heavy fall of snow on the Paparoa Ranges, the white covering being visible very long down. Heavy rain has also been falling intermittently and there seems every likelihood of it continuing.
The condition of Mr W. B Auld Clerk of Inangahua County O'uncil was: to-day reported as very satisfac fory, the improvement being continued
The semi-final of the Golf Club’s men’s championship was played last week-end, when N. Woods beat Lee and Floyd junr., beat Buist. The final between Woods and Floyd will bo played over 36 holes, commencing at 10 a.m on October 7.
