Wellington, early. BLULF, October 1. Arrived at 5 pin. John from Grcvmouth NOTES. The Harbour Office last evening reported that the depth on the bar at high wa>ter yesterday was 24ft. The Karepo is due to-day frni. Wellington to load timber for Melbourne. The Gabriella sails this morning twith timber for Sydney i’f the bar is workable. The Alexander will sail when the bar permits for Gisborne, vi*a Westport. The Poolta, from Wellington. arrived on Friday morning to load coal and timber for the same port. She is expected to sail this morning if the bar permits. The Ti'toki is still in the roadstead from Wellington, and wi 1 enter port when conditions pennit to load coal for Nelson. The Kaimai is due to-day from Auckland, to load coal for Wellington, and will sail via Westport.
