WRESTLING

SONNENBERG v. DETTON. WELLINGTON. October 1. After taking a fall within 25 seconds of the first round, Dean Delton was beaten by Gus Sonnenberg in a thrilling wrestling contest at the Town Hall this evening, by two falls to one. Sonnenberg took an equalising fall in the third round, and clinched the deal in the fifth when he paralysed Detton with a series of butts. The bout was full of thrills and productive of strenuous and at times brilliant wrestling.
