FEDERAL PREMIER. MAKES COUNTRY PARTY AN OFFER. HOBART, September 29. The Prime Minister, Mr Lyons, stated that he had extended an invitation to the Country Party, through Dr. Earle Page, to undertake an active share of responsibility for the stable Government of the Commonwealth, by accepting two full portfolios, and one Assistant-Ministership. Mr Lyons added that he has advised Dr. Page that he would value the association of the Country Party in the Government, and expressed the earnest hope they would see their way to accept his offer.
