REEFTON TOURNAMENT. It is pleasing to record 'that the Repfton Boxing Association is staging a tournament, on Saturday, September I t The committee have arrangements well in hand, and judging from the en tries <coming in the tournament promises to be 'the best held on th e West Coast for many years. Such boxers as W. Hawes. Australasian champion, P. Hawes, West Coast’ champion, and many other notable champions will be boxing. Mr Frank Bell, who has been •coaching the local lads, reports that there is plenty of material, and thev are all shaping particularly well. Great interest will be (taken in these lads when they enter the ring to match (heir skill against outside 'competitors Judging from the interest being displayed in the district, a bumper house is assured. The following well-known sports have donated trophies: Messrs P. Sheedy, Greymo'uth; J. Green, Ika irt.tua; P. S.radian. Father Spring and G. E. Hubbard. Reef ton. and Frank Bell. Greymouth. WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS The West Coast 'championship and novice tournament will be conducted by the Karoro Sports Chib at the Greymouth Town Hall on Saturday, September 8, for which nominations close with Mr W. 11. Coumbe, Secretary, Nelso® Street, Karoro, on Saturday. September 1. The classes will include from flyweight to heavyweight. Entrants are requested to state weight, also whether novice or championship class. '
