Wrestling. Referring to thp wrestling bout which takes place here on Tuesday night, “ 11 r.-id lock ” writes us follows. Detton is undoubtedly the most spectacular wrestler in New Zealand and his work is done with such speed that he always makes his .opponent move with him. Who will forget his thrilling encounter with Walker and Meyer? Stenning has commenced his circuit in New Zealand and (net that hard, tough and cunning champion of New Zealand George Walker. Walker got two falls to one but it took him six pounds. Walker had a groat advantage in weight and those who know him realise that he would make Stenning carry the wre. tling to him. This is Walker’s practice, and as soon as a man makes a mistake he takes him for a fall. Stenning must be above the average to take Walker over six rounds and take a fall from him with the deadly <( Octopus Hold”. Get someon e down on the floor, face down; place your foot between the shoulder blades, pressing down; take both arms and draw them up in the ah' backwards bringing the arms in the circle towards the feet. Then press >up gently. Don’t- go too far or there will be a doctor’s bill to pay. To put that across Walker, is no mean performance. Detton moves like whirlwind and Stenning will have to move with him. This is Stenning’s Opportunity if ever ho had a chance for a quick man will make him go for it. What a bout i'f will l be and don’t miss it. The Theatre Royal will be packed on Tuesday evening when the gladiators enter the ring.
