Two big mines had record outputs last month. NEW PLYMOUTH August 17. A prediction that New Zealand would shortly experience a tremendous gold boom was made by Mr W. 11. Bachelor, in an address on “Gold Mining” to the Frankleigh Park Progressive Association, New Plymouth. “We have the gold, that is undoubted. Large sums of money from overseas sources are being made available The revival in gold mining will employ many more men and will solve our problems.”
