LUMSDEN WINS CHAMPIONSHIP. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON. August 12. The miniature rifle championships resulted:—ln the championship'. Ken Lumsden Sanson) with 200 and 26 extra bulls was again successful. The runner-up was L. Beattie (Hilton) with 200 and 10 extra bulls; J. Simpson (Ohawea) third, with 6 extra bulls. Five one hundred and ninetyseven ’s were out. The Vice-Presid-ent’s match resulted:—L Beattie (Hilton) Ist, 100 and 6 extra bulls; J. Stephens (Oateo) and J- Simpson (Ohakea) 2nd equal, with 100 and 5 extra bulls. Twelve ninety-nines were counted out. President’s Match:—Ken Lumyden (Sanson) 100 and 21 extra bulls 1; W. R. Barrett (Sydenham) 100 and 10 extras 2; W. J. Burton (Blastings) and H. V. Croxfon (Public Service) 3rd. with 100 and 8 extra bulls B Grade Championship’:—W. Tritt Sydenham 200 Ist; L. Rathgen (Hook) 199 2nd; R. Williams (United) 199.3 3rd. Four 196’s were counted out Teams Match:—United (Christchurch) 989 Ist; Sydenham and Hastings 988 2nd equal. Ladies’ Team Match:—Lower Hutt and Ward Ladies No. 1 (Christchurch) tie with 480. Ladies’ Championship:—Miss B. Calder (Hu-tt) and Miss O’Brien (Gleniti) tie with 99
