A quiet but pretty wedding was ce'ebrnted at Ahaura on Saturday when Jessie, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs .1. Ford (Dobson), was married to Mr John Taylor Young, of Waiuta. The. b.id<> was neatly atti”cd in a smart fawn swagger suit, with hat and shoes to match, and carried a bouquet of Iceland poppieShe was attended as Matron of Honour by her sister, Mrs J. Chapman who wore a navy tailored costume, with hat to tone. Mr Jim Young (uncle, of the brideg’ioom) was best man. In the evening, Mr- G. Ward (sister of the bridegroom! entertain cd a number of guests, and an eu joyable evening was spent. Best wishes are extended to the young couple for their future happiness. The local branch of the R S.A. held a reunion in the Hall on Saturday evening after the pictures. Mr E. J. . Rose (President) presided over a good • 'tendance. Mr W. S. Pratt (President of the Reefton branch), and several Reef ion members were present. A pleasant evening was spent’, toasts being interspersed with niusinl items and songs.
