REEFTON NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, August 16. Reefton was visited by a severe storm last evening. Heavy rain, accinipanied by a cyclonic- wind with occasional peals of thunder, fell for some hours and the rain continued practically all this morning, the wind being very strong. The tempertfuie altered about mid-day, becoming colder, and th c prospects of the storm abating looked more promising. The second term at the Reefton District- Schools concludes to»-morrow. when the schools will be closed for a fortnight. Airs G. G. AlacDougall, Christchurch has arrived in Reefton, on a visit to her sister, Airs W J. Duff.
